About St. Joseph Women's Society
The Women's Society at St. Joseph's Parish was originally composed of different Guilds that accommodated
different interests and schedules of the members. In 2010 the guilds were united into a single group and the
society is now referred to as the "Women's Society."
The Society is affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW), the South Carolina Council of
Catholic Women (SCCCW), and the Midlands Deanery of the SCCCW. Our Patroness is Our Lady of Good Counsel.
The objectives of the Women's Society are to empower and promote the women of St. Joseph's Parish in spiritual
and civic activities and to assist the Pastor with parish activities as requested. All women interested in the
objectives of the Women's Society are invited to become active members.
Meetings are held once each month, September through May, on the third Sunday of the month.
