From The Organ Bench: Getting to know our St. Joseph Cantors - Curran Bramhall

Curran Bramhall is a rising sophomore at the University of South Carolina where he studies voice with Michelle Haché. He is majoring in music education with a certificate in voice performance. Curran is known for his effervescent, contagious smile. I once asked Curran if he’s ever had a “down” day. His response, with a big smile, “Yeah, sometimes!” and then he giggled. Curran plans to teach elementary grade music, eventually teaching middle and high school music, as well as serving as a church choral and music director.

Curran grew up in St. Joseph parish attending the parochial school and graduating from Cardinal Newman in 2022. His dad, Bob, has been the art teacher at St. Joseph School 19 years and his mom, Nell, taught at St. Joseph School 12 years and has been with Cardinal Newman 14 years in the English and Drama department. Curran was heavily involved in the music department at Cardinal Newman singing in the chorale and taking private voice lessons. He also enjoyed starring and supporting roles in the Cardinal Newman drama department including Jesus in Godspell and Horton in

Dr. Seuss’s Horton Hears a Who.

Curran has one brother, Keenan, who is a rising senior at Cardinal Newman School, who is also musical and actively involved in the drama department at Cardinal Newman School.
