Confessions During COVID-19
Confessions will be offered on Saturdays starting 11/7 in the gymnasium, 4:00-5:00 PM
Confessions will be held in the gymnasium at the Rowland Building. Social distancing of six feet will be maintained between you and the priest. You are REQUIRED to wear a mask. Upon entering the gym, you are asked to use the hand sanitizer provided and find a seat while you wait for your Confession. As requested by Bishop Guglielmone, please prepare your confessions at home and keep in mind your confession time is limited to only be a few minutes. If you need to speak with a priest for counseling on an issue in your life, please make an appointment at a different time outside of the confession setting. After you receive absolution, you may return to your seat to do penance, or it may be done at home. Parishioners will not be able to enter the church until the ushers start to seat parishioners for the 5:30 PM Mass.
Consideration for Attending Confession
*Parishioners who are at a higher risk for severe illness should consider not attending Confession. Please consult with your doctor to know if you are at higher risk for severe illness. Please review the CDC information on our website to determine your risk level.
*If you have traveled out of the country in the last 30 days, have a fever, shortness of breath and/or at least two of these symptoms – chills, headache, coughing, shortness of breath, sore throat, muscle pain, loss of smell/taste – please do not attend Confession.
*If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please do not attend Confession.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we cautiously move forward.
