Our Mission:
To coordinate meals for members of our parish family during significant life events, such as the birth of a new baby, the loss of a loved one, surgery, or illness. In these moments, people often ask, "How can I help?" One meaningful and practical way to show love and share the heart of Jesus is by providing a meal.
What is the Meal Ministry?
A group of volunteers providing meals during life’s big moments - both joyful and difficult.
Ways to participate:
-
Cook and deliver a home-cooked meal
-
Purchase and deliver a meal or gift card
-
Send a gift card through Meal Train
-
Freeze a meal in advance
Who do we serve?
Parishioners welcoming a new baby, grieving a loved one, recovering from illness, surgery, or other challenges.
When we serve:
-
New Baby: ~6 meals over two weeks
-
Loss of a Loved One: ~3 meals
-
Other Needs: Evaluated case-by-case
How it works:
-
Requests come in via an online form or coordinator.
-
Volunteers are contacted and sign up via Meal Train.
-
Meals are prepared or purchased, and delivered with love.
Guidelines:
Meals should include a main dish and side; deliver in disposable containers with any reheating instructions included.
