SJ Visitor Guidelines

The city of Columbia reinstated its emergency ordinance requiring masks and face coverings in all public spaces, including churches. As good citizens, we are asked to comply and wear masks.  The main difference between the past ordinance and this one is that it allows the fire marshal to enforce and fine noncompliance, and churches are included.

Parishioners and visitors entering the building are required to wear a mask for the safety of clergy, staff, and themselves.

Please do not come to the office if you are sick, have symptoms of being sick, are living with someone who is sick or has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or are awaiting COVID-19 test results.

Parishioners and visitors are asked to have patience with these protocols as all our sacrifices as a parish, community, state, and nation have been with a concerted effort to preserve life.

SJCC Resumption of Group Events Guidelines

SJCC has developed the following guidelines based on those mandated by the Diocese of Charleston, the CDC, and state/local government.

We ask for your patience and flexibility with these protocols as all our sacrifices as a parish, community, state, and nation have been with a concerted effort to preserve life.

  • Due to reduced janitorial services, it is the organizer’s responsibility to wipe down tables and counters with cleaning supplies (provided by SJCC) both before and after the event.

  • Trash cans and liners will be provided.  Please tie to close the trash bag at the conclusion of the event and remove to the receptacles outside the Donor Hall back kitchen door.

  • Attendees must follow social distancing guidelines and the associated signage located throughout the facility's interior and exterior.

  • The SJCC office is a building open to the public.  Therefore, any local ordinances must be followed regarding occupancy, face coverings, etc.
